I have been contemplating getting a Macbook for University, where I will be studying science in kinesiology; however, I am worried that there will be programs that won’t be compatible with mac. Am I over thinking the situation? Should I get a Mac or a Windows PC? Thanks

Kinesiology? Does that require some kind of special hardware that can read nervous signals?
You’re safest with a Windows PC – how bad do you want a Mac? Regardless, Mac shouldn’t be a problem (Linux might be more complicated if that were one of your options, but I guess it isn’t).
P.S. By safest I don’t mean the OS is the most secure – I’m saying that you will be able to run every commercial program without a hitch.
