I love your business idea. For that, you really need to major in something related to exercise – it could be athletic training, exercise science, or kinesiology. Minoring in business is a good idea, so that you can gain the business skills you’ll need to run your company. And finally, look into becoming a certified personal trainer while you’re at school.

You may also want to do an internship in your field, and/or actually work as a personal trainer while you study, so that you build your credentials as you’re getting your degree.

From what I’ve gathered from friends, a business undergrad major is more about being a suit than actual entrepreneurship. I’d even rather go for an econ minor and take on internships/talk to local small business owners over a business major.

    Oh, take math classes.
